LANDSCAPE UNDER FOOT
Location: Phoenix Airport Art Museum
Event Dates: 4/4/2010 - 9/26/2010
The Phoenix Airport Museum presents Landscape Under Foot, an exhibition of small landscape paintings created 'en plein air' (in the open air).
Landscape Under Foot features twenty paintings created by ten Arizona artists that take their studio into the field, with portable easel and paint box, to depict the natural beauty of Arizona.
Gary Martelli, Assistant Curator for the Airport Museum Program, says "Our mission is to promote Arizona's cutlure and resources through art. This particular genre of artwork is popular in Arizona because we have such immense beauty throughout the state. This exhibit opens a window into the abundance of beauty that is Arizona's unique and diverse landscape to people traveling through Sky Harbor."
